This post is critical to existing and continual development of Asylum Refugee and Bridging Health Services ensuring this growing population are provided with the correct level of support upon their arrival and continual throughput promoting greater stability and settlement. This post will be instrumental in evolving the health and social care response to the Asylum Refugee population moving existing services to an integrated delivery model. The Service Manager is required to manage a large team of health and social care staff ensuring support, PDP and governance arrangements are in place to administer all strategic and operational requirements of the team including rigorous performance and finance management. Key leadership and operational performance management function supporting a group of Grade 7 and Grade 8 staff within existing health and social care staff members. The post is responsible for aligning existing Asylum Refugee Services and the Bridging Health Team into an integrated model ensuring cohesive support arrangements are in place. This will include treatment & care as well as housing and welfare needs are met and maintained wherever necessary. The post holder will ensure strong leadership and strategic overview/development of practice accountable to Homelessness Head of Service. The post holder will require extensive people management responsibilities working across Glasgow City and will include financial management of services. The post holder will also be required to ensure staff support arrangements are in place in accordance with Glasgow HSCP supervision and PDP policies which also extends towards SSSC and NHS registration requirements.
