We are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who is recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer. The service provides 30 supported homes for homeless people with low level support needs in privately rented homes across Manchester.

Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker includes:

  • Working across dispersed accommodation in Manchester supporting clients facing homelessness with low level needs
  • Sourcing new properties
  • Providing resettlement and housing management support to a portfolio of customers within a supported housing project or dispersed tenancy
  • Encouraging independent living
  • Promoting tenancy sustainment
  • Assisting clients to maximise their income
  • Completing the induction process with new clients
  • Assisting with the access to training, education and employment opportunities
  • Signposting clients to other services within the community
  • Completing housing benefit, council tax and universal credit claims
  • Conducting risk and needs assessments
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Driver and access to a vehicle
