We are recruiting for a full-time support worker (waking nights only). Working hours are 9.30pm to 8am and you will be working 4 nights on and 4 nights off (equating to 35 hours per week). This is on a 7-day rota, which does include weekends and bank holidays.

The service is located across two sites in Ashford, Surrey. The White House caters to single homeless individuals with complex needs, whilst Harper House caters to homeless families. This role is based at The White House, but you will also be on call for any emergencies that arise at Harper House.

Previous experience working within the homelessness sector or working with adults who have complex needs is essential. You must be non-judgemental, able to demonstrate what good support looks like and engage positively with customers

You will be required to support our residents and deal with all situations in an efficient and professional manner. By being visibly present throughout the night and maintaining good relationship with our residents, you will be in the position to intervene and diffuse situations, before they can escalate, which is essential in maintaining the safety and security of our residents and the wider service.

The role involves carrying out housing management functions within the scheme including completing regular patrols and health & safety checks around the building, both internally and externally.
