Grade 10 -£-£pa 3x Month Secondment Opportunity/Fixed term Contract

You will need:

  • To understand the challenges and complexities around homelessness today, the impact that homelessness has on families and single people, and have a commitment to transforming housing services and reducing homelessness.
  • To lead in developing and implementing homeless prevention initiatives and projects in close liaison with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to improve service delivery across the homelessness service.
  • To support the Head of Housing Demand in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency and success of the Service as a whole through effective planning, budget management, staff management and governance.
  • The Housing Demand Service delivers the statutory Housing Advice and Homelessness Prevention Service, Homeless Accommodation, Private Sector Leasing and Housing Choice and Applications. With the implementation of the new Rough Sleeping and Homelessness Strategy – published in September we have developed bespoke services for people with multiple complex needs including high intensive management supported accommodation which makes this it is a very exciting time to act up in the role.

    You will lead a team of professionals who operate within the Homeless Reduction Act as well as the Care Act and will provide strategic and operational leadership to further enhance the service. We are looking for someone who can provide the vision and direction for how we safeguard people with multiple complex needs to navigate their recovery through a complex support system. 

    The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, with experience of leading and managing change, managers and teams and a proven track record in delivering to stretching targets.
