SUITABLE FOR SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORT WORK LOOKING TO MOVE INTO HOUSING

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Support or Housing worker to develop their knowledge and skills in this interesting and varied sector.

You will carry a caseload of service users who are in temporary accommodation, supporting them with sourcing move-on accommodation, benefits applications, managing their finances, life skills and everyday needs, and sometimes giving further support and sign-posting for additional needs, such as drug and alcohol misuse or mental health needs.

You will have some relevant support work experience, although this does not need to be from a housing environment. Experience of working with homeless people, or knowledge of mental health needs or drug and alcohol misuse, would be of particular benefit. You will also need to be a driver with your own vehicle. The role would really suit someone who is looking to get a solid grounding across a range of support needs including homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol misuse and other associated needs.

Monday – Sunday (shifts on a rota, for example 8-4, 9-5, 2-10 etc. including 1 in 3 weekends)
37 hours pw
Supportive work environment with good prospects for career progression
