Thames Reach are a life-changing homelessness organisation that supports people with complex needs across greater London with the aim to end street homelessness. They focus on 3 key areas; response, prevention and recovery, directly helping rough sleepers to get off the streets, preventing the vulnerable from becoming homeless and providing services including accommodation, employment and health care. They are now recruiting for 2 support workers for their tenancy sustainment team, providing floating support for clients now in private rented accommodation.

As a Support Worker, you will be working directly with vulnerable clients across South London, Westminster and Tower Hamlets, reporting up to the Senior Practitioner within the tenancy sustainment team. You will be work as the principal provider of support to a variety of clients, working alongside lead case workers where cases are more complex or of a multifaceted manner. You will also work alongside support assistants to ensure the clients are as enabled as possible and independence is maximised.

To apply for this role, you will need a good understanding in how to deliver effective support services to a range of vulnerable people, implementing personalised approaches based on each client’s needs. You will need to understand homelessness either through personal, professional or voluntary experience and be comfortable working independently, given the nature of the role delivering floating support. You will have the ability to manage a varied and changing caseload that works effectively for clients and their needs. Overall you will be honest, reliable and proactive, providing the vulnerable with the support they need to change their lives and remain off the streets.
