Hours: 30 hours Salary: per hour plus additional payments for unsocial hours: weekends on hourly rate; Bank Holidays 33% on hourly rate Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 public holidays (pro rata) Based at: Aberystwyth Job Purpose: We are currently looking for caring individuals with a professional nature to work as part of team or lone working to support and improve the lives of people with serious mental illness. By contributing to the delivery of Adferiad Recoverys Registered Services in Ceredigion, in line with our commitment to principles of empowerment, self-management and recovery and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards inspection and regulation (including CIW). Ceredigion services have been developed in partnership with Hywel Dda, Ceredigion Housing Support Grant Team and Ceredigion County Council. Adferiad Ceredigion provides a range of services to adults and Carers of those who are experiencing a mental illness. The support can be in line with independent living in the community, domiciliary care, supported accommodation, group work, and/or 1:1 floating support working out in the community and in peoples homes. Supported Accommodation projects include support to 6 clients living in individual flats in the community who are diagnosed as experiencing a serious mental illness and have been assessed as needing medium levels of support to help with their recovery. Support provision is provided between 7am and 6pm, 7 days a week. The service strives to provide new and innovative ways of working with individuals through group activities. Staff will play a key role in being able to support these initiatives and to develop new ones. The post holder will provide a variety of person centred, tailored interventions that support individuals with complex needs to find and sustain accommodation and develop their independent living skills by supporting and assisting occupants with the following:-Feeling secure within their home-Increasing independent living skills-Using appliances safely and maintaining reasonable domestic standards-Personal finance, budgeting, and accessing benefits.-Mental and physical healthcare-Self-management of medication-Attending appointments-Visitors and their access to individuals property-Building and maintaining relationships with neighbours, families, friends, professionals-Developing skills and interests Candidate Criteria: There are no specific qualifications but there must be evidence of commitment to personal and career development relevant to the post.
