Prospectus is pleased to be working with a homelessness charity based in Newham, whose mission is to provide support to people who find themselves sleeping rough in East London by providing a safe and welcoming place to stay, and offering support through the provision of personalised support, educational and life skills opportunities. They are looking to recruit 2 temporary Customer Service Officers to support with the day to day delivery of their 24/7 complex needs supported housing service in East London.

As our client’s new Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective delivery of administrative duties, including operating the switchboard, welcoming and directing visitors and acting as a reference point for residents. This is a pivotal role for the charity, and as such will play a key role in the daily interaction with individuals who present with complex needs by receiving living costs from them and issuing receipts, booking courses and maintaining relevant records, reports and systems.

To be considered, you will have previous experience of working in a customer-focused role and possess strong administrative skills. Due to the nature of this position, you will be required to have worked in a supported housing, homeless and/or care setting either in a paid or voluntary capacity. Strong IT skills and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal are essential, as is working practice and knowledge of data protection and confidentiality.

To be considered, you must be available immediately or have no more than a 1 week notice period.

This role will be to work 37.5 hours across Monday – Sunday on a flexible shift pattern, working days.

An Enhanced DBS for Adults, issued within the last year or registered to the online update service, is required.
