Are you looking for a rewarding job where you can make a real and positive difference every day? GreenSquareAccord is looking for someone who will be committed to making a real impact upon their Leamington Spa Support Services.
You will deliver a critical service that supports the effective delivery of the homeless service for homeless people in Warwickshire. We provide support to homeless people aged 25 and over which includes offenders and people at risk of offending.
There will be a combination of office and visiting clients in their homes. You will manage a caseload of referred clients. This role will see you providing advice to people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and arranging for them to move into supported accommodation. You will assist in giving advice on managing their home for example collecting rent, completing application forms, arranging repairs, dealing with anti social behaviour and assisting in setting up rooms for new clients.
Mon-Fri between the hours of 9:00-16:30

In your new role, you will:
Support service users to find, establish and maintain their homes and tenancies and preventing homelessness
Provide intensive, high level practical support in response to crisis/relapse in partnership with other agencies
Provide short-term, focused practical support that enables service users to sustain/maintain their current home
Developing service users independent living skills, and opportunities to learn, work and take part in health promoting and social activities
Supporting service users to stay safe and secure in their homes and in their communities
Supporting service users to access relevant health and social care services
Promoting service users’ financial inclusion and take up of benefits
You will ideally have:
1 years’ experience supporting vulnerable people within a housing or community setting
The ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of;Disadvantaged vulnerable user groupsSocial welfare and health systemsHousing & HomelessnessDebtWelfare benefitsSafeguarding
The ability to offer advice and guidance
The ability to provide practical support that meets customers’ needs
The ability to respond to a crisis whist remaining calm
The ability to develop knowledge, skills, and role in a work-related environment
