We have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join a service based in Southwark. Some of the service users were previously homeless and they have complex needs which include mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence sexual exploitation. The service works with multi agencies and statutory agencies to ensure the best possible support for the service users.

Shift patterns are 8am to 4pm and 2pm to 10pm across a 7 day period

Key Responsibilities of the Support Worker post:

* Helping service users develop life skills for independent living
* Ensuring service users can access social inclusion
* Building supportive relationships with Service Users
* Helping service users achieve goals outlined in support plans
* Positive risk assessment and risk management
* Managing health and safety
* Supporting service users with their daily living and providing practical assistance
* Working effectively with voluntary and statutory agencies
* Empowering and enabling service users
* Ad-hoc duties

* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
* Previous experience in a similar role working with mental health, housing, homelessness or substance misuse
