The key responsibilities of the Senior Website Manager will include

  • Building and leading site experience, delivering continuous improvement from both a user experience and conversion perspective
  • Work closely with the SEO Manager to meet SEO objectives
  • Lead on the creation of campaign-led and landing pages
  • Analyse user journeys and turn insight into continuous improvement plans to increase customer engagement, lead generation and/or conversions
  • Ensure content accuracy at all times
  • Manage and optimise site performance, using analytics tools and Google Core Web Vitals
  • Embed processes for ensuring regular content audits to identity gaps and eliminate redundant, out of date and/or duplicate information
  • Identify and evaluate new digital tools and platforms, pro-actively making recommendations to drive improvement
  • Ensure all digital marketing tools utilised via the website integrate seamlessly on a technical level
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to optimise paid traffic, direct and organic conversion results
  • Manage the relationship with the web hosting company and any other third party suppliers
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice and monitor competitor websites

The Successful Applicant

The successful Website Manager will have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience of website management and delivery of online projects
  • Track record in growing websites and delivering a world-class user experience
  • Substantial e-commerce experience
  • Highly proficient in WordPress, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
  • Well-versed in user journey design (UX / UI)
  • Substantial experience of analysing online metrics with advanced skills in Google Analytics
  • Strong design aesthetic
  • Highly analytical with outstanding attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • A keen eye for accuracy and brand consistency
  • Experience of working alongside Marketing teams across areas including content, SEO and paid media
  • Experience of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to articulate issues or problems and present solutions
  • Proactive approach to driving improvements and initiatives
  • Knowledge of data management best practice, and website usability, security & accessibility best practice
