Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the co-ordination / vacation of the building at Corporation St and ensure compliance with GDPR / DPA requirements.

Liaising with Supplies and Stores in coordinating the disposal of surplus furniture and equipment with the aim of clearing the building by 28 February 2023.

Assisting with the development of new policies and procedures for facilities management.

Preparation of business cases for the procurement of key items of expenditure.

Liaising with DVA Procurement Section / CPD to ensure receipt of items on or before 31 March 2023.

Assist with the premises role for the DVA Building at Corporation Street (Belfast), Enforcement Office at Craigavon Test Centre and the network of DVA weighbridge sites.

Contribute to the DVA Business Improvement Strategy and attend workshops as required.

Essential Criteria

Experience / Qualifications in premises role & health and safety including the development

and construction of facility management policies and procedures (ie over security, cleaning,

liaising with contractors on site, work placed risk assessments etc) would be essential.

Knowledge of health and safety legislation would be a basic essential requirement.

Other requirements include:

· Good administrative background with sound literacy / numeracy skills

· Able to effectively organise own work and prioritise work activities

· Able to communicate clearly and effectively

Desired Experience/ Qualifications

Previous experience of facilities management in a public sector environment would also be

desirable.
