Job Title: Senior Finance Transformation Consultant

Salary: £50-70k (depending on experience), Car Allowance, Bonus + Benefits

We’re very excited to be bringing a unique opportunity to the market as we’re looking for Qualified Accountants looking for a slight career change to step into a Senior Finance Transformation Consultant role, working for a well established Technology Consultancy business, market leading in their field, with a track record of consecutively recording 30% YOY growth, and an impressive portfolio of clients, including many of the FTSE 100.

Due to continued growth after over 20 years in the industry, the business are looking to expand their team of Consultants to help implement world class planning and reporting solutions and work with clients to help drive their sophistication, efficiency and agility using cloud based technology.

The Role

As Senior Consultant, you will work autonomously with a portfolio of clients, collaborating with them and project managing the utilisation of cloud based technology to adapt and modernise practices and business planning capabilities. You’ll work with your clients to understand their business, goals, strategy and what the technology could help them achieve and then as part of the Project Management team oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, to deliver the rollout of the technology within expected timeframes and within budget.

Given the diversity of the role, duties could include but are certainly not limited to:

  • Partner with your clients to understand their business, goals, strategy and how the cloud technology could benefit them to aid success
  • Manage the full project lifecycle of the rollout (typically Workday, Oracle, Anaplan, IBM Planning Analytics) from design, planning, implementation, rollout and support thereafter and owning the delivery of the business requirements.
  • Deliver the project and implementation within agreed timescales and budget
  • Help businesses to streamline their business planning processes and provide robust data, increasing the businesses agility in decision making.
  • Build relationships with your clients and key stakeholders to ensure business needs are fully understood, progress monitored, risk management and drive business engagement to ensure expectations and delivery are clear.
  • Quickly interpret clients needs and provide logical solutions
  • Work on multiple projects at a time with clients, prioritising in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and the capability to make quick judgements and structured decision making.
  • Overall help businesses optimise their business planning capabilities and also get involved in any ad hoc opportunities such as business development and further client support.
  • Your Profile

    The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant by profession that now wants to get into more of a consultative, business facing, advisory role working with clients to add value and drive efficiencies in their business through utilising cloud based technology.

    You will need to be confident working with the C-Suite of FTSE 100 businesses, listen to their business requirements and strategy and be confident providing suggestions and solutions on how they would benefit from the utilisation of your platforms.

    To be considered for this role, you will ideally:

  • Be a commercially oriented Qualified Accountant
  • Have demonstrable experience of adding value to a business, provide insight and analysis to shape strategy and aid decision making
  • Ideally have experience with System improvements, ERP rollouts or helping a business utilise cloud based solutions
  • Exposure to Workday, Oracle, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Anaplan advantageous but not essential
  • Be commercially minded and understand the client’s success if the number 1 goal
  • Have a good understanding of modern IT cloud solutions
  • Be self motivated, driven and able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, proactively looking to add value and offer improvements to drive efficiencies.
