Responsibilities

:

  • Maintain, vet, analyze, create, and update NGL lifting and voyage records through our proprietary data collection and database systems
  • Continuously improve recording, analysis, and reporting of lifting and voyage records
  • Maintain and improve the work product delivered through existing channels to our clients and the delivery methods and presentation of the work product.
  • Provide market insights and key trends related to NGL cargo liftings, LPG trade flows, global LPG benchmark contract and spot prices, spot market LPG netback values, US Gulf Coast terminalling fees, Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) freight rates, and spot fixtures
  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with prevailing cost components for the applicable supply chain
  • Present NGL trade and related forecasts and insights internally and externally
  • Contribute to the financial performance of S&P Global Commodity Insights business through the execution and delivery of the Waterborne LIVE LPG and Ethane product/service
  • What We’re Looking For (Education, experience, and skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or business preferred
  • Education in the data science field or certifications in data science
  • Data science experience and/or education and/or certification is a plus
  • Previous experience in NGL or energy related field is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of MS applications required (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ability to use these tools effectively including familiarity and capability of interrogating relevant data and data sets through other tools (Python and others)
  • Language(s) – English, however additional languages are a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail, including relevant language skills as appropriate
  • Organization and problem-solving skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think through questions and/or problems and independently provide solutions
  • Self-motivated and focused on delivering quality products
