Set and Steer Ratings Division Data/Content Strategy with a Customer Orientation

  • Develop a customer-orientation mindset, with knowledge of the most current and relevant data quality, privacy, and automation strategies. You will lead a shift to an external / market focused organization and build customer touch points to bring user feedback into the operating rhythm for teams
  • Drive the execution of the S&P Global Ratings Division’s Data and Content strategy across Content, Ops and Governance/Quality teams. This person will work with key stakeholders and partners to develop the strategy, a delivery roadmap, and provide the leadership and direction necessary to successfully deliver the strategy
  • Lead the Ratings data transformation program to modernize our current data organization, drive content readiness for product, develop a framework for continuous improvement and modernization of our processes, and setup a data infrastructure to support real time data and content delivery
  • Build Strong and Effective Partnerships with SPGI Data teams, Ratings Technology, Ratings Analytical & Commercial teams

    Partner with S&P Global Ratings Division leadership and other data teams across SPGI to prioritize business strategies and data deliverables to ensure linkage of the Ratings data strategy to organizational and customer priorities. This person will drive the creation and execution of projects aimed at supporting Ratings business goals.

  • Partner closely with Ratings Technology to build highly effective teams and partnerships across data and data services
  • Work closely with analytical teams to identify key user experiences to support highest quality Ratings delivery, speed to market, improve analytical access to our data, and reduce analytical time spent on data manipulation
  • Align efforts with commercial teams to understand priority customer / content roadmaps and support pace and timelines
  • Drive Best-In-Class Execution of Core Data Operations and Strategic Projects to Drive a Modernized Ratings Division set of Capabilities

  • Serve as the Engagement Owner for affiliate teams in India who provide sourcing and extraction capabilities to Ratings Division. Ensure Ratings Division data is available, accurate, timely and relevant. This person will have joint oversight for Ratings Division requirements and tracking of data operations in all locations globally; and will be responsible for the definition of Ratings Division Data KPI’s and ensuring their delivery. This person will establish Ratings Division targets for client reported errors, data timeliness and efficiency gains.
  • Drive the creation and execution of Ratings Division Content & Data projects, to facilitate the integration and improved efficiency of existing data sets, as well as the creation of new data sets in support of Rating’s strategic goals.
  • Partner with In-Business Control and Compliance teams to ensure build out and execution of key data controls to support the business and regulatory requirements for our core operations and with all initiatives.
  • Manage Ratings Content & Data budget, working closely with COO Leadership and Finance teams to develop and manage the operating budget.
  • Drive metric-based approach to tracking value delivery across Content and Data operations.
  • Drive metric-based approach to track progress of data transformation and modernization programs.
  • Lead People First Talent Strategy for Global Teams

  • What We’re Looking For:

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience in a complex financial organization with a focus on technology and data
  • 15+ years of work experience including transformational project management and managing teams
  • Previous experience in a regulated business preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise in defining enterprise data strategies, establishing data governance processes and controls, and successfully leading data organization transformations
  • Advanced knowledge of process engineering and lean six sigma methodology
  • Highly developed skills in influencing and navigating a complex, global organization
  • Ability to work in a complex and highly matrixed environment, including being skilled at influencing senior leaders across the organization
  • Ability to work effectively across teams, foster inclusivity, overcome resistance and navigate a complex organization with a high level of EQ
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and relationships across multiple global teams
  • Ability to hold a position and have difficult conversations in the face of adversity and resistance.

  • EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced experience in leading transformation and modernizing processes and automation capabilities
  • Broad experience in a range of management and leadership roles across Data Operations and IT
  • Experience engaging cross-functional teams to build strong data infrastructure
  • Demonstrated capacity of owning complex issues and commitment to solution and execution
  • Recognized experience as a thought leader and innovator in the development of new tools, methodologies, and problem-solving approaches
  • Broad experience in multiple domain areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, data standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data architecture frameworks
