Do you love how it feels to support people through important times in their lives?
Our Housing Coordinators provide an enhanced, proactive housing management service to residents in our temporary homeless accommodation. You will be part of a small team supporting our residents back to a sustainable move-on from the service.
It’s an incredibly rewarding role and we have an opportunity for a Housing Coordinator to join us on a full time basis.
This is a customer facing role travelling between our 5 sites around Basingstoke.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents to ensure they are receiving their full benefit entitlements, support with debt management and managing their money more effectively.
Tenancy management – working with residents to resolve issues like payment of rent, antisocial behaviour, and other associated matters.
Offering advice and guidance on keeping the property and themselves safe to offer physical and emotional safety.
Offer support to residents to access specialist support services if required.
Empowering residents to access employment, training, or volunteering services.
Helping to keep residents safe by carrying out peer lead health and safety and risk assessments of property.
Providing residents with advice and facilitating a move to alternative accommodation as required.
Take part in our out of hours service available to residents should they require assistance.
What you’ll need
You will have experience working within a similar role, including lettings management, tenancy management, income, housing, and supporting individuals to their move on to permanent accommodation.
You’ll need to have strong communication, empathy, and a genuine want to help the community. You’ll have the ability work in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisations skills
You’ll be resilient, able to work alone as well as collaborate well as part of a team and have the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively.
You’ll be required to travel so a full UK driver’s license and your own transport is essential
