Job Description

  • You will work alongside people who have experienced homelessness, within ihAg supported accommodation, with a view to move to independent living.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • provide structured, person-centred, trauma-informed support for people who have experienced homelessness
  • complete, review and update risk assessments, and personal support plans for people supported within ihAg accommodation
  • monitor the cleanliness, upkeep and safety of a small number of ihAg properties, and act as First Point of Contact for residents who have any concerns
  • maintain timely, accurate and up-to-date records and relevant information to facilitate delivery and ensure continuity of services provided to service users, and for accountability, reporting and monitoring purposes
  • maintaining third party databases with relevant information as required by our contracts
  • work with external agencies to achieve outcomes for the service and individuals as well promoting the organisation
  • participate in appropriate training/meetings/consultations/surveys
  • safeguard and promote the welfare of people with additional vulnerabilities
  • any other duties as identified by the Housing Services Manager.
  • This role requires the inclusion of an Out of Hours On Call scheme, for which there will be additional renumeration.

    You will need experience of:

  • providing person-centered, strengths-based support to people
  • completing dynamic assessments of needs and risks and creating support plans to address these
  • working alongside people who have experienced trauma.
  • ihAg is a local Charity supporting local people experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, through personal circumstances.

    We provide accommodation for around 55 individuals across Ipswich, as part of our Housing Service, which enables people who have been homeless to begin to rebuild their lives.
