Chappell Enterprises are recruiting for a Volunteer Coordinator for our client based in Southend-On-Sea.

Our client has been providing services aiming to end homelessness in South End for twenty years. This year they are aiming to expand their cold weather provision to include more emergency beds for rough sleepers.

The Job:

The job is based across two main sites with community working also a key part.

Previous experience not essential but must be a people person with a grasp of how to translate skills into our sector.

Working across our operational rough sleeper services, you will recruit, manage and train community & peer volunteers to undertake a variety of roles critical to the delivery of an expanded cold weather provision for the homeless.

The successful post holder will form a key part of the main operational team, sourcing volunteers, on-boarding and training volunteers you will oversee the rotas, as well as working alongside and providing induction.

You will be the first point of contact for ongoing support and day to day management of the volunteer team.

You will also work alongside the team including the Rough Sleeping Coordinator enabling the rapid assessment and navigation of rough sleepers onwards through the pathway.

Salary:

£27,200 – £29,900 per annum
