Job Title: Homelessness Programme Manager

Location: Oxford

Salary: £36,912 – £41,818 per annum (Dependent on experience).

Job type: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

This post is funded to work on behalf of, and in partnership with, the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance. The Alliance members consist of A2Dominion, Aspire, Connection Support, Elmore Community Services, Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAF (Lived Experience Advisory Forum) and St Mungo’s. The alliance values include Listening, Choice, Collaboration, Inclusive.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with people who experience services, alliance members and commissioners, you will foster and enable a culture of continuous improvement and play a critical role within the Alliance Leadership Team in ensuring the alliance achieves its goals, and its services are successful.

You will coordinate and manage the transformation, implementation and development plans for the alliance, providing strategic and operational oversight, and leadership to develop a culture of partnership working, learning, creativity and support, always with the client at the centre.

Representing the alliance at all relevant provider forums, you will share learning and best practice with national bodies, including Homeless Link and central government.

What do we need from you?

A Driver’s Licence is Essential for this role

You will work across the alliance offices, with some work from home, and frequent travel across the county.

This is a dynamic role that drives real change and makes a difference to the community.

Your ability to drive change, influence others and build positive, respectful and professional relationships helps you establish a rapport with a wide variety of people.

You have an understanding of homelessness prevention, and the particular needs of people with mental health conditions, long-term health issues, offending backgrounds, and substance misuse. Sharing and using your knowledge, you will support people towards a journey of independence.

You will have experience of coordinating high level activities, groups, or projects, and have the ability to organise, prioritise and plan accordingly. In addition, your experience of change management supports your understanding of the need for change, and helps you respond positively and creatively to influence others.

Your high attention to detail means that you are an excellent report writer and have excellent time management skills.
