Our client is currently looking for Domiciliary Care Workers to join their busy team!

They are a well-established community care provider based in Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne. Main responsibilities are to complete calls to individuals throughout the day and evening. Drivers are not essential to the post; however, a vehicle may be required in some areas due to the geographical location and nature of the role. They are leading the way in community care!

Location: Gosforth, Coxlodge, Kenton, Jesmond,  Fawdon, Melton Park, Great North Park, Kingston Park, Hazlerigg, Brunswick Village, Dinnington and surrounding areas.

Salary: Starting at £9.78 -£11.10 per hour plus enhancements for bank holidays,  travel time and mileage payments.

Working hours: Typically, we look to service clients between 7am-11pm including alternate weekends. Hours can be flexible depending on the clients need and your personal commitments.

Domiciliary Care Worker Duties:

  • Supporting the individual in a person-centred way with all aspects of personal care.
  • Administering and managing all levels of medication as required
  • Assisting activities of daily living such as shopping, day trips, attending appointments.
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuing compliance for Health and Safety
  • Ensuring all records are maintained accurately according to policy and procedure
  • To respond positively to changing needs and managing risk effectively
  • To attend regular meetings
  • To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Domiciliary Care Worker Requirements:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate qualities, knowledge, and skills as described in the main responsibilities and be able to evidence a proven ability to provide paid care to clients with a range of social and health care conditions.
