We are advertising for 2.6 WTE ClinicalPsychologists to join our large team of Psychologists working in a strongmulti-disciplinary setting delivering services for young people and theirfamilies / carers in Leicestershire.
Main duties of the job
The post will serve the YoungPeoples Team, which is a specialist mental health team, offering mentalhealth assessment and intervention tochildren, young people and their families who are Looked After, Adopted, knownto Youth Justice Services or who are homeless. The team accepts referrals fromLeicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The post holder will be passionate aboutaddressing health inequalities and have an ability to be creative about howservices are offered to improve access to this vulnerable group. The postholder must have a good understanding about the impact of adverse childhoodexperiences and early trauma on children and young people and an awareness ofthe implications of this in practice. This post involves a substantial amountof consultation and training to the network. The post holder must be a confidentand competent trainer. Supervision of a clinical psychology trainee andcontribution to service development will also be required for candidates at 8alevel. We are keen to support people in their continued professionaldevelopment.
The post holder will be joining alarge supportive service with good levels of supervision and a personaldevelopment programme to help achieve further relevant training targets.
