This organisation helps to rehouse homeless people and this role is vital in providing exceptional coordination of the residential services that they provide. The organisation’s main mission is to promote positive change.

You must be available to start immediately and be available to work on an ongoing temporary basis.

The role is 1 day per week every Wednesday so would suit somebody looking for part time work. Ideally a student studying Social care looking to gain some additional experience.

JOB ROLE: Temporary Residential Coordinator – Social Housing / Social Care

COMPANY: Charity organisation

HOURS: Part- time- 1 day a week- Wednesday

SALARY: £15.00 – 16.00 per hour

LOCATION: On site in Marylebone

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • To accurately assess people’s needs
  • To lead on resettlement, move-on, and co-ordination of activities
  • Act as the go- to contact for mental health well being and cases of trauma
  • To act as a key mentor to students and provide guidance
  • Highlighting opportunities for change at project level
  • Provide a tailored service to each individual when guiding people through the assessment process
  • Build strong working relationships
  • Strictly working within Health and Safety guidelines
  • To asses risk and develop risk strategies
  • Liaise with external contacts
  • SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience of working in a residential setting
  • An understanding of tenure and housing management would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of working with people with complex needs
  • The ability to think and reflect critically
  • To always work with empathy and creativity
  • Highly organised nature
  • A polite, friendly and approachable disposition at all times
  • Strong ability to problem solve, working well under pressure in unique scenarios
  • Ability to build good rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Able to manage databases in paper and online formats
