We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist tojoin our growing team of healthcare professionals working with newly arrivedasylum seekers.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative services for the asylum seeker and migrant communities of West Yorkshire. This role will support asylum seekers living accross Calderdale and Leeds

Job Purpose
Tomanage a caseload of service users with complex needs within the community,using specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention skills,including highly specialist sensory processing, postural care and complexequipment provision.
Touse specialist clinical skills to assess and deliver intervention to serviceusers with complex needs within a variety of settings.
Tocontribute to the ongoing development of health and wellbeing provision forasylum, seekers at Bevan Healthcare.
Towork within a multi-disciplinary setting spanning medical, nursing, social careand allied health professionals as well as charity and third-sector organisations.
Tocarry out work under the guiding principles of clinical governance and theHealth and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Tomanage, assess, plan and implement interventions for a caseload of complexservice users, addressing occupational performance and skills deficits to meetservice users needs.
Tomonitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and to ensureeffective intervention.
Toprovide Occupational Therapy advice to service users and their carers topromote aims of Occupational Therapy and to ensure a consistent approach tocare
Tocommunicate effectively with service users and their carers to ensure understandingof health and social needs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teammembers within the service.
Inline with local guidelines, review and reflect on own practice and performancethrough effective use of professional and operational supervision and personaldevelopment review.
Tocontribute to the induction and education of staff, students, volunteers andother workers/visitors who access the service.
Tocontribute to the measurement and evaluation of your work and current practicethrough the use of evidence based practice projects, audit, research andoutcome measures and implement any changes as required.
