The Role: Senior Financial Analyst

The Technology FP&A Team, which supports the DTS & TSG Organization , is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in supporting the business line leaders. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in the end-to-end financial reporting process from financial closing to reporting and analysis as well as participate in monthly forecasting and yearly budgeting.

The Team: The Technology FP&A team is responsible for the end-to-end financial processes and support for the DTS & TSG organization ( Digital Technology Services and Technology Strategy & Governance )

The Impact: This position will work alongside the Finance Directors to ensure all monthly financial reporting and analysis is delivered timely and accurately to facilitate decision making by management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monthly close process by preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries for accruals, prepaids and reclasses for the organization in accordance with the published corporate schedule
  • Support the monthly close and reporting process by analyzing expense, headcount and other critical performance measures; research drivers of performance and provide variance commentary of actuals versus budget, prior estimate and prior year
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for business partners to improve transparency and provide an understanding of financial performance drivers.
  • Track Synergies, Need to Achieve and Variances to BAU engagements
  • Develop monthly forecasts and annual budgets for DTS expenses
  • Drive continuous process improvement with the goal of increasing efficiency and optimizing the distribution of work through automation, leveraging of centers of excellence and other solutions
  • Perform accounting and operational tasks as needed such as invoice coding, tracking and approving Ariba Purchase Requisitions and assisting with invoicing or procurement questions
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the financial systems that are critical to the reporting process.
  • Provide thorough and accurate responses to senior management and business leads inquires.
  • Alert management to accounting or operational issues, risks and opportunities and suggest actionable solutions.
  • Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years’ work experience in public/private accounting, financial or technology firm.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or other similar accounting principles is preferred. Strong knowledge of accruals and accounting for prepaid expenses required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues and ideas.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, IF functions, etc.) and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency with Oracle Financials or other similar financial systems, Anaplan and Oracle Smart View strongly preferred.
  • Large data manipulation experience preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau or other analytical tools preferred.
  • Proven design abilities for reports/dashboards in Business Intelligence solutions
  • Demonstrate investigative research and analytical capabilities necessary to provide the leadership team with accurate and insightful interpretation of financial information.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for operational and financial problems.
  • Attentive to accuracy, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems
  • Self-starter and independent thinker with the ability to work independently as a fully contributing member of a team and possesses the ability to act creatively to problem solve.
  • Comfortable managing the delivery of high-quality outputs with overlapping deadlines and tight time constraints
  • Familiar with multiple business functions (Marketing, Product, Finance et al.) and comfortable engaging with various stakeholders
