The Role: Risk Solutions Intern .

T he Team: The Scorecard team delivers credit risk management services to clients including analytical support, training, and credit risk assessments. The team applies regulatory-compliant and industry best practices for development and enhancement of internal rating systems.

The Impact: S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Scorecards business is a high growth, high margin global business of innovative analytics. Scorecards are used globally by credit sensitive institutions as internal rating systems for capital and impairments calculations, risk management (origination and monitoring), pricing and investment decisions.

Responsibilities :

  • Support senior member s of the team by performing market research for a given asset class / sector .
  • Conduct the end-to-end credit quality assessment ( PD ) and credit loss ( LGD ) for counterparties in each sector by analyzing both qualitative and quantitative aspects
  • Contribute to the product development/ enhancement efforts
  • Contribute to the preparation of the presentation materials for a given asset class / sector .
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • All majors welcome : Risk Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Math, Public Policy, Quantitative Analysis, Data and Statistics majors preferred
  • The candidate should be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completing no later than 2024
  • Intellectually curious; the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication (good verbal skills, listening techniques, and a clear, concise writing)
  • Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • The ability and the desire to learn to conduct your own analysis and research
  • Understand importance of building strong relationships and partnering with team members
  • Fluency in English is a must , and a European language is a plus

    To be eligible for our UK Summer Internship program you must have the right to work full-time now and in the future. We currently do not offer visa sponsorship; however, we do run our programs in several locations across the globe and welcome you to consider those that are relevant to you.
