Area of accountability: Committees and Meetings
Attend and participate fully in Finance andPerformance meetings, Policy and Performance meetings, and other meetings asrequired, providing performance information to promote understanding of servicedelivery and/or progress against agreed KPIs and to advise against thevalidity of such KPIs as the business grows
AttendQuality Committee meetings, supporting the provision of accurate reportinginformation and providing data as requested
Area of accountability: Performance and Business Information Provision
To be thesubject matter expert on the NHSE performance information reporting systemsCOMPASS and EDEN, taking responsibility for completing ARR, pension returns,and the adding and amending of performers to COMPASS
Tosupport senior leaders in providing comprehensive performance informationanalysis across the business. This will include the monthly production ofperformance reports for Board, SLT and other committees as required
Undertake analysis of complex, multi-sourced patientlevel data, transforming it into meaningful reports, supporting colleagues inunderstanding the results, and providing assurance around the quality andintegrity of the source data. To summarise and interpret results as requiredwith written analysis identifying and explaining trends and variations
Todesign, develop and build reports that meet the specified operational needs,which may then be developed as required into business intelligence dashboardtools. To support colleagues in accessing and understanding this information.This will include attendance at monthly performance and other meetings asrequired
Toensure performance reporting solutions are kept up to date to reflect changesto national guidance or other requirements, and to communicate this to all employeesthrough either written or verbal updates
Toensure technical patient-level and practice-level business planning (and other)data are transformed into meaningful reports, which include a variety ofanalytical methods to deliver the requirements
Toprovide data, reporting and understanding to support and monitor progressagainst Smile Togethers defined quality improvement metrics, businessresilience plan and strategic business development plans
To beproficient with a variety of analytical tools that can be applied to impartconcise, meaningful information to the organisation, in particular SQL andMicrosoft Office packages such as Word and Excel. To be able to present resultsin a visual manner using the business dashboard reporting tools
Tosupport the delivery of all required commissioner and other partner datareturns and reports as requested (usually monthly), ensuring these are completedaccurately and taking account of commercially sensitive information orprocesses
Tosupport the Head of Marketing and Communications with data returns for theannual and other impact reports as well as internal performance reports(usually quarterly)
Toensure there is commonality of method applied to visualisation and dataanalysis, to form a set of standard data reports, share and collaborate withcolleagues to continually improve and refine the way we analyse data, toreflect national and local changes
Tolead on improvements in the capture of data within clinical / business systemsby promoting best practice, providing support and access to reports and / ortraining as identified. Toadvise and support operational processes, including formulation, implementation,and ongoing evaluation
Toaudit and validate data integrity from clinical / business systems, flaggingquality or completeness issues to relevant managers and/or teams, in support ofSmile Togethers quality improvement programme
To providetechnical and subject matter expertise, advice and support in respect of information,visualisation and analysis to system users, promoting best practice throughmeetings, workshops and other media
To developa series of learning support tools and materials to use to educate users inimproving their use and awareness of information and reporting across thebusiness
Toactively promote and support a culture of information usage within the business
To useQuality Improvement techniques to implement improvements in processes aroundperformance reporting
Actively Lead on Business Development activities forall Locations, aiming to enhance profitability of Private and Patient Planusage.
Lead on the development and growth of the companysRetail offer, including promotion, pricing, advising, and reporting on success
Formulation of detailed business plans for eachlocation, supported by action plans in order to ensure success
To work alongside of and provide direct support to theLocation managers to provide a commercial input, backed up by robust data andbusiness intelligence to help maximise their impact and effectiveness.
Coaching and supporting the Location Managers in balancinglocation performance
Spot areas for growth, analysing identifiedopportunities and providing suggestions to the Deputy Head of Operations andCommercial and/or other Executive Team members as required, on theimplementation of these opportunities into the business
Collaborate closely with IT and any other departmentconcerned with the integration of new operational systems and provide detailedanalysis as to its performance and usage capability
Area of accountability: Service Improvement
Ongoing evaluation of private offer and throughthe use of reporting and data analysis provide detailed reports and businesscases to help improve services and ensure Smile Together remain competitive butalso attainable to the community
To audit and validate data integrity fromclinical / business systems, flagging quality or completeness issues torelevant managers and/or teams, in support of Smile Togethers qualityimprovement programme
Administerperformance-related service improvement projects within the operational field,delivering agreed project objectives and outcomes in line with company strategy
Supportthe Finance team by providing operational facing data and information insupport of budget setting and establishment processes, supporting the Seniorand wider Operations team to agree meaningful budgets and a more comprehensiveunderstanding of practice utilisation
Leadon specific projects as directed by the Deputy Head of Operations andCommercial and/or other Executive Team members to achieve agreed project and/orstrategic outcomes
Supportthe identification of, and maximise, the opportunities created by serviceredesign within clinical processes/pathways, data and information, with a viewto future-proofing service delivery by supporting and enabling areas ofimprovement
