We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERI), to join the team within Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) located at Defence Medical Rehabilitation Center (DMRC) Stanford Hall. The successful candidate will be organised, flexible, able to prioritise work commitments and with the ability to communicate at all levels.

The ERI working within DefenceRehabilitation is to provide a high standard of exercise-based rehabilitationincluding highly specialist work in the musculo-skeletal/sports and traininginjury area, for patients referred to DMRC, meeting Standards for Better Health byusing a multidisciplinary approach.

As the successful ERI, you will be responsible and accountable to the clinicalteam Officer in Command (OC) / Service Manager and Other Rank (OR)7 Lead ERI.This post is rotational and there are 5 teams at DMRC, Spines and Upper Quadrant(SUQ), Lower Limbs, Specialist Rehabilitation, Complex Trauma and NeuroRehabilitation. You will be rotated amongst these during your time in post.

Main duties of the job

Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Stanford Hall is an inclusive and dedicated organisation working to provide excellent care to serving military personnel. Duties of this post include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing and treating own workload ofpatients/clients, individually and/or in groups, as part of inter-disciplinaryteam, in a variety of settings.

  • Assisting in the supervision and management of studentsand other staff working in own specialist area.

  • Contributing to development of specialist serviceand related policies.
