Are you a Staff Nurse looking to be part of an innovative Health Visiting Team with a freshly implemented corporate working model?

The Croydon Health Visiting Team are looking for Community Staff Nurses who will:

  • Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.
  • Support and assist Child development Workers as required
  • Participate in the development of skill mix staff within the Health Visiting Service
  • Participate in Health Education programmes and health promotion activities on a multi-disciplinary basis as agreed with the team.
  • Lead on the delivery of the new-born bloodspot screening programme for children under the age of 1yr .

ALL colleagues are encouraged and supported to develop their professional interest and roles. We offer 7 specialist areas to be involved with; the topics being closely aligned to the 6 High Impact Areas of the HCP. You will join and be actively working with colleagues to ‘ Champion ‘ across the borough, for example :

  3. Safeguarding children
  4. Homeless health
  5. Practice Education and Facilitation
  6. Infant feeding, health weight and nutrition, breast feeding.

Community Staff Nurse Health Visiting

We are looking to recruit community B5 staff nurses in health visiting . This role provides an exciting opportunity to experience being part of a health visiting team in the delivery of the health child programme and forms part of a ‘recruit to train’ strategy to offer successful candidates an opportunity to be considered for Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training in Croydon
