We’re excited to announce we are recruiting for IAPT-accredited PWPs to join our team at Time to Talk and help us continue to build on our success, working with a range of adults with anxiety, depression and trauma-related problems in a primary care setting. These vacancies are within our North locality (bases in Burgess Hill, Crawley and Horsham).

Main duties of the job

Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.

Assess and support people with a common mental health problem in the self-management of their recovery.

Undertake patient-centred interviews which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and/or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.

Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based, high volume, low-intensity psychological treatments. This may include guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments.This work may be face-to-face, telephone or via other media.

Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.

We provide our patients with a service between Monday-Friday 8am and 8pm.

With our blended working model work, successful candidates can expect a mixture of home working and working on site in one of our bases or sites in the community. Our interventions are offered digitally as well as face-to-face, offering our patient’s choice. We retain and build on innovations that have helped maximise staff wellbeing. You will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone.

Job responsibilities

Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the departments referral protocols. Refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step-up the persons treatment to high intensity therapy.

Develop treatment plans, tailoring them to meet the specific and individual needs of each patient.

Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.

Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service.
