Support Worker – Stoke-on-Trent, Blurton

Salary – £21,450 – Full-time, 37.5 hours
Basic salary of £21,450 with `on-call` earnings taking you to a total of over £25,000 a year

We are in partnership and collaborating with a fantastic client who are a registered care and support charity, who specialise in delivering homes, services, and innovation for the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands and providing support to vulnerable adults. Overview of the role
The role is in Stoke-On-Trent in the Blurton area. Link workers will be expected to support service users with their accommodation, help them overcome their addictions, re-engage them back into the community, support with their mental health, and liaise with external agencies. You will provide support to those who are in need, to try and access the appropriate benefits and help with their tenancy.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to;
” Providing housing support to vulnerable people
” Order to promote their independence and recovery
” Responding appropriately to chaotic and challenging behaviour to promote the
” Wellbeing of people in the service and staff
” Providing support to those at risk of homelessness
” Providing an effective and responsive supportive service
” Liaise with referral teams/agencies regarding vacancies and referrals.

Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge
” At least 6 months` experience supporting youths or young adults who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless
” Driving licence and access to a vehicle
” You need to be resilient, as some service users will be vulnerable and will have challenging behaviour, and other complex needs
” Having the right attitude is key, and the most important thing my client is looking for. You need to show your loyalty and they will repay that faith with training and opportunities to grow within their organisation
” Computer literate, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
