Service Lead – Wolverhampton & Surrounding Areas

What’s in it for YOU?
For your hard work and commitment, you will be paid a salary of £33,000, (£16 per hour) and a very desirable employee package, which includes 24 days of annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays.

Location and hours
Wolverhampton & Surrounding Patches (Dudley, Walsall, Tipton) – 37.5 hours, covering a varied shift pattern – Monday to Friday – Full-time.

The Company and the Service
We are in partnership and collaborating with a fantastic client who are a registered care and support charity, who specialise in delivering homes, services, and innovation for the most disadvantaged communities in the country, and providing support to vulnerable adults. They provide the very best service, and they would love your help to continue that process. This service is for service users who find themselves living in precarious housing or at risk of eviction but not statutorily homeless as defined by the Homeless Reduction Act.

Overview of the Role
The client is looking for a full-time Service Lead to manage all allocated teams, providing support and service improvement. Providing continued support and guidance on all property related matters, delivery of housing management services, compliance, service users engagement, whilst maintaining other professional standards.
Recruit, induct, coach, and train new and existing team members within the region, and ensuring staff are given ongoing support and advice. Identify and implement training needs as necessary and be committed to continuous professional development. Manage voids, rent arrears, tenancy audits, audit risk management and housing management plans, to ensure safe and professional delivery. To screen and risk assess any potential referrals of clients to the service, and to make informed, proactive decisions based on service need and risk. Ensure your team have all the relevant training and resources to provide an excellent, and streamlined service to the companies service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy, maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks).
  • Support staff with training and development
  • Ensure all processes are adhered to

Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge

  • Passion and desire to help people who are at risk of homelessness
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle – ESSENTIAL
  • A DBS on the update service
  • Professional experience working with young people or adults with learning disabilities or mental health
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience with service delivery and service improvement
