Job summary
The post holder will work as part of a small dynamic team, who have a responsibility for representing the Health Board and promoting effective multi-agency partnership working across the region.
The team’s work is aimed at supporting groups who face barriers or disadvantage in accessing health services. The role will involve supporting a broad range of projects and service developments for a range of population groups to facilitate improved outcomes for staff, service users, carers and the wider population.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve:
- supporting the organisation and delivery of partnership meetings,
- working across the team to provide support to specific projects and activities,
- supporting the delivery of awareness raising training, and
- developing promotional information in a variety of formats all of which increases understanding of the needs of vulnerable groups.
The Project Support Officer will need to use their own initiative, apply a high degree of confidentiality, possess mature judgement and promote the values of partnership working.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:

- 48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
- Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services.
