Job Description
4Recruitment Services are seeking a Rough Sleepers Team Co-Ordinator to co-ordinate the Wakefield Rough Sleeper Service.
The homeless scheme offers an accommodation based service to provide housing support to people agreed 16 + with complex needs to give them the skills needed to move towards living independently.
The service users may have support needs including mental health, drugs/alcohol dependency, ex-offenders, rough sleepers, homeless, past trauma, PTSD to name a few.
The Rough Sleeper Team Co-Ordinator will be required to:
Manage 3 rough sleeping outreach workers
Oversee the teams rotas
Produce reports as and when requested
Provide statistical information and to produce spreadsheets where required
Monitor spend and report budget variances to the Area Manager.
Attend meetings to work with partner agencies including police, health, housing, council, landlords, substance support agencies
Input and engage in the running of the service and successful outcomes
Work flexible and where required to cover outreach visits across the district.
Ensure that the service is compliant with all clients policies and procedures, legislative and contractual requirements.
Ensure that appropriate recording systems are in place to monitor and report on service performance and compliance. Provide accurate reports to line managers as required, to deadline.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in managing staff/colleagues Experience of working within a homeless/housing and/or support environment
Experience of working with vulnerable customers
Good communication and conflict resolution skills
Good understanding and experience of I.T systems (Microsoft Office and databases)
Report writing
To demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support; and complete relevant IT training where required.
Formal care, support or housing qualification & Experience of managing and developing a small team would be desirable
