Customer Account Officer
West Bromwich
Salary – £29,800-£35,800 (+£750 Car Allowance) per annum – depending on skills and experience
Contract type – Permanent

About the role
You will provide an excellent level of customer service to residents, focussing on sustaining tenancies, as well as maximising GreenSquareAccord Limited`s income stream and other charges, in accordance with our policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for arrears management and recovery within a defined patch, with a mixture of tenures.
You will have an up-to-date knowledge of the welfare benefits system, and wider related issues.
You will undertake home visits to residents.
Your role will be to prepare paperwork and present cases in court, with or without legal representation, and attendance at evictions.
You will be responsible for up to date and effective and accurate record keeping, following Data Protection protocols.
You will work with and develop excellent working relationships with our partner agencies, including but not limited to local authority departments and the DWP.
About you
You will have GCSE`s (or equiv) at C grade or higher, to include maths and English.
You must have previous experience of arrears or debt recovery, or credit control.
You will have experience of DIY possession proceedings and presenting cases in court.
You must have excellent communication skills, with an ability to deal empathetically and effectively with vulnerable residents and difficult situations.
You must have a minimum 12 months in Income management or equivalent.
You must have experience of attending court for possession claims
