Chilcote Surgery currently has 8partners and 4 salaried GPs and we are looking for an enthusiastic GP or GPs tojoin us for anything up to 8 sessions as our reputation for providing excellentand timely patient care has caused our list to swell.

Flexibility is key and we can offer this in termsof your session numbers, structure of sessions and whether you would like to bea partner or salaried GP.

Indemnity cover is provided and there are 6 weeks ofannual leave per annum in addition to Bank holidays.

At Chilcote we are happy in our work, using the “DrFirst” system of access where we prioritise continuity of care,appropriate access, and satisfying consultations for patient and doctor,leading to excellent patient feedback. We also cap our consultation numbersto protect the working day.

We are proud to be a trainingpractice and provide mentorship for new/returning doctors. Everyone has anopen door, and we would support a newly-qualified GP wantingto join the Fellowship scheme.

You can choose whether to become involved inworking with other surgeries/PCNs in the Enhanced Care in Care Homes service,or team up with colleagues in the practice undertaking Research, Medical Student/Registrartraining, and homeless clinics, if you wish.

Main duties of the job

Towork as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the PMS contract.

This is a teaching andtraining practice, working with students and GP registrars from the PeninsulaMedical School at the University of Plymouth Faculty of Medicine. The practicehas an innovative outlook and believes in investing in development and training.
