Homelessness Prevention Officer based in Leicester.

We are working with a Local Authority based in Leicester who are currently recruiting for homelessness prevention officers based in Leicester.
The Officer will be required with a minimum of 12 months assessing homeless applications in accordance with the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 and Part VII Housing Act 1996.
Officers needs to be able take a holistic and person -centred approach to provide providing comprehensive housing advice to prevent and alleviate homelessness. Candidates will need to be able to assess homeless applications under the legislation, make homelessness inquiries and produce quality personalised housing plans and issue s184 homeless decisions.
Candidates will needed proven evidence of working for a local authority in a Housing Options/homeless Prevention Team and assessing. Officers are generic and deal with all case types and will need to be able to triage, assess homeless application circumstances and provide comprehensive housing advice.
