Cardiff and Vale Health Inclusion Service (CAVHIS) is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Assistant Departmental Operations Manager. This is an interesting and varied role, working closely with clinical and clerical staff of all grades.

CAVHIS lies within the Primary, Community and Intermediate Care clinical board providing public health screening and healthcare to vulnerable groups including Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Homeless.

Having recently undergone a significant period of innovation and change, this post is a new service development to support the Departmental Operations Manager in staff management, information reporting and utilisation of clinic capacity within a growing service.

Main duties of the job

You will provide line management to administrative staff at band 2/3 level. You will be proactive in identifying more efficient ways of working, skills gaps and provide training.

IT skills are necessary as you will be exporting data from the clinical information system, Vision, and developing new and innovative ways of working with the ever growing demand of the service.

You will demonstrate the Values and Behaviours of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board at all times. This post involves working with diverse patient groups, ensuring that CAVHIS provides positive patient experience.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
