Job summary

We are looking for three new Commissioning Officers to support the rapid transformation work being undertaken across our department.

One postwill sit within our Supporting Independence team. The portfolio covers our accommodation based services (£30m spend), including Supported Living, Extra Care, Shared Lives, Rough Sleeping and Single Vulnerable Homeless.

The other two posts will be responsible for driving forward the delivery of our ambitiousCarersandAgeing Well Strategies. Officers working in these roles will be responsible for directly delivering specific actions within the strategy plans, and for working with key partners and residents themselves to oversee the successful delivery of others. Excellent stakeholder management skills are a must for all of these roles.

We are looking for people with transferable skills who would be able to work flexibly across any of these areas, but please do let us know in your application form if you have a strong preference for working in any of the specific areas listed above.

If you have a passion for supporting vulnerable adults but never commissioned before, please research the commissioning cycle. The likelihood is that you will have done many elements of commissioning without realising and would be able to demonstrate transferable skills. This is an entry level job in a rewarding new career
