Title: A Level Law and Criminology Lecturer

Location: South Yorkshire

Pay: £22.41 – £25 per hour including holiday pay

Duration: Part-Time, Temporary

Reed – Further Education are seeking an A level Law and Criminology Lecturer to work in a FE college in South Yorkshire to deliver A Level Law and Criminology in both their first and second year.

What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of an A Level Law and Criminology Lecturer?

  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
  • Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
  • Plan, prepare and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources including the development of on-line learning resources for identified modules.
  • Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve and record learners’ progress for identified modules.
  • Carry out internal verification duties in line with quality assurance processes. Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess quality teaching across identified modules/units.
  • Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression
  • UK recognised Teaching Qualification i.e. PGCE or Cert Ed
  • Degree in IT or related subject area
  • IT literate including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google platforms
