Role: Mentor for Students with Mental Health Difficulties

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Menntor to join one of our using schools within the Sleaford area. The school supports pupils who have a range of needs, which includes; social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), complex needs such as attachment and anxiety, high functioning Autism (ASD) and pathological demand avoidance (PDA). The aim of the school is to re-engage pupils with learning and opportunities. Most pupils follow EHCP’s and have been previously excluded from mainstream settings.

  • Secondary aged students aged 11-19

  • We are looking for someone who is calm and patient, able to understand potential barriers children face. You must be extremely resilient as this role can be very challenging yet highly rewarding. People with previous experience in Mental Health Support roles along with ex-military or police force experience, are encouraged to apply however other previous experiences’ are as of interest.
