A new, exciting opportunity in a popular Primary school in Walworth has arisen for a Year 6 teacher. This is a 2 form entry Primary school that most recently has been graded ‘Good’ overall by OFSTED. The Year 6 teacher should have experience teaching within year 6 or year 5 and must be passionate about education and confident in their delivery of the curriculum. The SLT are hopeful to welcome a teacher with an innovative and child-centred approach to teaching.

This is a long term, full-time role for the Year 6 Teacher beginning in April 2023 after the Easter break. There will be opportunities at the end of the contract for a permanent position within the school. The Primary school offers ample support and additionally offers abundant CPD opportunities. The Primary school has a fantastic reputation within the borough and has a well-established Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities of the teacher

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be teaching a vibrant, energetic group of children amounting to a 26 class total. Your responsibilities in this Primary teacher role will include keeping your lessons current and relevant, preparing the students for their important final year in Primary school. The teacher will be required to commit to the school and their class with effective planning and preparation for lessons and activities.
