We have a great opportunity based at our Bedford College campus for a Learning to become a key member of our Additional Support department.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Being responsible for providing support to learners with the learning difficulties and/or disabilities in all aspects of the college curriculum.
  • Providing overall care of the learner and enable him/her to access the college facilities and develop independence within the wider community.
  • Being active member of the Foundation Team and to assist in the development of individual programmes and the assessment of student progress.
  • Our ideal candidates will have experience of post-16 learner support and experience of providing support to individuals in an education or care, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in a relevant subject or willing to undertake a L3 apprenticeship in a relevant subject to be agreed by line manager
  • Level 2 in Maths and English
