We are looking for a Charge Nurse to join the sexual health and HIV team in St Stephen’s Centre (John Hunter Clinic and Kobler HIV OPD )

This post will suit those having had some previous management at band 6 level or above wishing to broaden their skills and knowledge . The post holder will provide leadership to the nursing team and within the service and deputise for the clinic manager when required.

Main duties of the job

Responsibility for the management and of the delivery of clinical services within the HIV/GUM . Directorate, including all low level complaints (PALS, concerns etc.), HR management (recruitment, sickness, annual leave, performance, PDR etc.) and the resolution of incident forms and local governance issues.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical services within the context of a clinical governance framework. To provide professional leadership to all nonmedical staff within HIV/GUM services working in close collaboration and co-operation withmembers of the multi-professional team.

You will ensure that all activities in the area are carried out within the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust policy and guidelines and within the philosophy of the HIV and Sexual Health Directorate.

You will work in partnership with the Clinic Manager and Lead Clinician to manage and developthe operational and strategic issues within HIV/GUM service.
