The Role:

Hampshire Futures, is a successful sold service within Hampshire County Council, who holds the full Matrix accreditation. Our service provides careers advice and guidance to young people in a variety of settings, including those who are vulnerable. We also assist in tracking the participation of post 16 and NEET young people. We also support schools and colleges with work experience, employer engagement and enterprise activities. The service prides itself on delivering bespoke services to schools, colleges and a variety of customers across the whole county. 

In your role, you will effectively manage a school or college caseload and carry out a variety of careers related tasks including providing careers information, advice and guidance interviews for young people, group work activities and events such as parents evenings, careers fairs and other employability activities. This will incorporate working with individuals, parents, guardians, staff within schools and colleges, training providers and employers. 

 
Tasks may also include preparing and delivering group sessions and presentations and supporting employer engagement activities. This will require good communication skills and use of specialist databases.

It is essential that you hold a minimum Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification with experience of delivering careers guidance in a school or college. You may be expected to support activities across a variety of locations across Hampshire to fulfil the requirements of the service.
