The successful applicant will join the existing registrar team with opportunity to obtain St3 equivalence training or above in branches of sub-specialty Anaesthesia to be agreed at interview.

Applicants must have Anaesthetic experience equivalent to the level of successful completion of Core training in Anaesthesia (RCOA curriculum), preferably have experience of working within the NHS. This post will ideally suit applicants who wish to pursue specialty training in Anaesthesia, and support will be available to assist with career progression.

The post will commence asap for 1 year with option to renew by mutual agreement and candidates must be fully registered with GMC and hold license to practice at application.

There is an excellent range of postgraduate medical activities at Leeds Teaching Hospitals directed by the PGME centre which has bases at both the Leeds General Infirmary and St Jamess University Hospital.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals is the main provider of postgraduate training in Anaesthesia in the West Yorkshire region. As such we have extensive experience of supporting and preparing trainees in their professional goals of achieving the FRCA examinations and securing consultant positions.
