Hays are recruiting for a client who aremitted to providing assistance to their vulnerable tenants and people living in themunities who need support to live well and independently. They provide specialist housing, care and support to people who are socially excluded, disabled, unwell or homeless.

Your new role

To support and enable vulnerable people to sustain a tenancy living within themunity through providing practical and emotional support to encourage tenants to take an active part in themunity.

Please note this is a Female only service so female applicants will only be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide/offer support to an individual tenant consistent with the clients principles.
  • Promote the integration of the tenant into the localmunity and provide opportunities by which they will be enabled to develop skills and have access to the widest possible range of experiences.
  • Ensure that the tenants needs are met by liaising with other organisations providing access tomunity-based services and resources.
  • Ensure that the participation by the tenant in the management of all household tasks, through teaching and practical support.
  • Involve the tenant in everyday household tasks where possible, and help to develop the skills needed to achieve this. Tasks include gardening, shopping, cleaning, cooking and all other normal day to day tasks.
  • To take an active part in tenant involvement, liaising with relevant groups and participating in relevant training and updates.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of shift activities.
  • Participate and contribute to own appraisal and supervision sessions.
  • You will be providing Supported Housing with a 2 years residency before moving onto independent living and cater solely for those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.

    This is a 24/7 service and there will be one sleep in per week which would be paid at £76.00 per sleep in.

    What you’ll need to succeed

  • Must be willing to work on a 7 day rota and do 1 sleep-in a week
  • Must have worked within a hostel/supported housing service
