The Apprenticeship Program:
The Apprenticeship Programme at Bloomberg is an exciting opportunity to enter thepany in a full-time role, take on real responsibility, and discover new skills from day one. The Technical Implementation Role:
Our Enterprise Technology (ETEC) team is trusted with the design, test, and delivery of connections for firms wishing to outsource their connectivity and integration to Bloomberg. As a Technical Implementation Specialist supporting our growing business, you will be responsible for building and certifying new trading workflows between our clients and Bloomberg’s world-class applications, providing custom integration solutions where applicable, configuring the relevant applications for these workflows and solutions.

You will play a vital role in delivering technical implementation projects from inception topletion, working closely with clients to have setups implemented in a timely and efficient manner to meet production timelines and be regulatorypliant. Our team supports many business lines across Bloomberg and deals with many different technologies and protocols. Typical client engagements can include the use of real-time FIX messaging as well as MQ, SFTP, and Web APIs.

Our team also works with vendors, brokers, exchanges and ATS venues, and collaborates with various internal teams such as Product, Network Operations, Engineering and Sales.

Eligibility criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 – 9 in any subject (Should include Maths & English)
  • 3 A levels with Grades BBB or above (Or equivalent)
  • Learners must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • Possess the right to work in the UK
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years
  • What we would like to see:

  • A real passion and proven experience of supporting technology across a multitude of platforms
  • A solid grasp of PC hardware, operating systems and software suites (Windows & Mac OS, Office Suite)
  • Any programming experience eg using python and an aptitude to use their learning to pick up other programming languages
  • Careful attention to detail, with an aptitude for working quickly and accurately
  • Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to work independently and as part of a larger global team
