Family Action
Family Action transforms lives by providing practical, emotional and financial support to those who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation across the country.
We have been building stronger families since 1869 – today working with over 60,000 families a year in around 160 community-based services, as well as supporting thousands more through our national programmes and our grants programmes.
Reaching out to those in need, we strengthen families and communities, build skills and resilience and improve the life chances of everyone we work with.
Our services are innovative; we believe in the strengths within families and our approach to support which can achieve maximum impact. We seek to empower everyone we work with so we add significant value – to the lives of services users, to those who commission services and to those who create policy and influence change for the future. Family Action has a strong and successful history of building stronger families, and as we look to the future our values and behaviours define us and underpin all the work we do. We can achieve our ambitions by always:
Being people focused
Reflecting a ‘can do’ approach
Striving for excellence in everything we do
Having mutual respect for everyone we work with, work for and support through our services
Family Action has core values of “People Focus” and “Mutual Respect” and those values are deeply rooted in our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. We are privileged to work with people from very diverse communities and backgrounds who are united in needing our support.
We are committed as an organisation to treating our service users, our volunteers, our partners and each other with dignity and respect and to embracing our individual and collective diversity.
