The Role

We have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Strategic Finance team on a permanent basis. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for MCPS (Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society), financial reporting, including budget/forecasts, and monthly performance reporting. The successful candidate will support the MCPS and Clean Team Senior Manager in analytical reporting across the Clean Team Assurance activities. 

Responsibilities

As our Finance Business Partner – MCPS & Clean Team, some of your day to day duties will include…

 

MCPS Partnership

  • Support the relationship between Strategic Finance and MCPS, including:
    • Supporting the coordination, preparation and delivery of the MCPS annual budget and bi-annual reforecast, as well as monthly financial Board reporting.
    • Providing regular MCPS financial updates to the COO (MCPS).
    • Proactively seeking opportunities to improve ways of working to add value and drive performance.
    • Submitting MCPS financial results to industry bodies such as BIEM (Bureau International de l’Edition Mécanique) and CISAC (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composer).
    • Produce the annual analytical report to support the year end audit process.
    • Represent at all key meetings between MCPS and PRS for Music where Finance representation is required.
    • Collaborate with the Operations team and Contract Management, to provide financial input to MCPS deliverables managed outside of Finance (royalties distribution tracker, MCPS key performance indicator reporting).

Clean Team (Revenue Assurance)

  • Provide support across Clean Team revenue assurance activities, analysis, reporting, investigations and working closely with the legal team (the paralegals).

Processes and controls

  • Proactively ensure financial controls are implemented across the business unit.
  • Work closely with other Finance teams to continually improve end to end financial processes and development of related systems.
  • Support process improvement projects within the team to add greater value to analytical, planning and reporting processes.

The salary for this position is circa £60,000 per annum.

The Process

Our interview process for this role is simple:

  • First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams.

  • Numerical Reasoning Assessment
  • Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub

This allows you to provide examples of situations where you have had to demonstrate the required skills relevant to the role you are applying for. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week.
