Full time, 37 hours. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, as well as on call duties.

You will manage a team of support workers that work with our who have mental health, substance misuse and physical health support needs. You will love supporting others and helping them to progress and achieve their goals. Your positive attitude towards your work and your team will help to contribute to a new, exciting service. You will have a calm and personable manner and be able to handle potentially difficult situations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will support your team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision and coaching and support them with their workload where needed
  • Be involved in the recruitment of your team, including relief and volunteers and responsible for ensuring appropriate shift cover
  • You will ensure staff are supporting clients to improve practical skills in areas such as health, budgeting, shopping, cooking, housework, laundry & hygiene
  • Work with external partners to maximise the opportunities available to clients so that they can resettle in the community
  • Help to maintain a welcoming, safe environment, identifying and minimising all potential risks to clients, colleagues and visitors of the service
  • You will be part of an out of hours on call service

  • Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies
  • Full drivers licence and access to a vehicle is desirable for this role.
